"You never stop." That’s what people often tell me. “If I’ve stopped, I must be dead,” I usually reply — half-joking, but mostly true. I breathe and live so I can travel. And I’m endlessly grateful that life has allowed me to do so, because honestly, nothing else gives me the same emotional high.

This blog? I created it first and foremost for myself. But maybe it’ll resonate with someone out there — someone who travels like I do. It’s not your typical travel guide. You won’t find historical summaries or top-10 sightseeing lists here. It’s not an influencer channel, and it’s not a marketing gig. It’s just a space where I tell my stories. The ones that matter to me.

A bit about me.

My name is Jessica Valcheva, and I’m a journalist. Right now, I work at Forbes Bulgaria — a beautiful opportunity that found me just at the right moment. Before that, let’s just say I had a few… ideological disagreements with some former employers. I still remember someone saying to me: “If you want to write what you want, start your own site.”

So I did.

Maybe not exactly with that rebellious tone or firecracker style, but still — a place that’s mine, where I get to say what I want to say.

Music is everything to me. In fact, I truly believe concert tourism is one of life’s greatest joys. I also believe that money spent abroad doesn’t really count as spending. And that pre-booked, paid-for vacations planned months in advance don’t count against my budget (yep — totally delulu, I know). I don’t visit every museum or gallery — not because I’m uninterested, but because I love feeling the pulse of a place: its energy, its rhythm. And yes, I still believe I’m young enough (delulu again, I know) to slow down and not race through cities as if I’ll never return.

I’m telling you all this so you know what to expect here. You won’t find listicles titled “Everything You Must See”.
But if you, dear reader, are just as laid-back a traveler as I am — this space is for you. This is a blog for people who travel light (hand luggage only), who live for hipster vibes and hole-in-the-wall cafés, who believe brunch is a sacred ritual abroad, and who find joy not in grand monuments, but in quiet little streets that don’t make the guidebooks.
